Donat a Car

1) What types of vehicles can I donate?
Commercial vehicles, autos, cars, motorcycles and even boats can be donated to our charity. You can even donate vehicles that are not in running condition. The only thing required to make a donation is a clear title of the car.

2) Who is DonateCar.tv?
DonateCar.Tv is a classified 501(c)(3) charity organization.. We have our own fundraising programs where people can donate vehicles for the benefit of children in need of nutritious food, clothing or education.

3) Will I benefit tax-wise if I donate my car?
Your car donation is tax deductible. You will receive a letter from us stating that you had donated the car. However, individual cases produce individual tax benefits. So it is better to take the advice of your tax advisor to find out how much tax benefit you can claim.

4) Is it possible for me to donate a car that has not been run for years?
We accept any vehicle that is in running condition or not. You will know if your donation was accepted within one day of sending the car donation form.

5) Do I have to bear any expenses when I donate my car?
No, all expenses of towing the car is borne by us.

6) Do I have any restrictions on the car I intend to donate?
Yes, there are some restrictions. You will know if your donation was accepted within one day of sending the car donation form. It is necessary that you have the title of the car you donate. Of course, it is also necessary to have the keys of the car.7) Am I prohibited from donating my car if I don’t find the car title?
No, in case you don’t find the title of the car, you can still donate the car. You have to get a duplicate from the local Department of Motor Vehicles.

8) How long will it take for your people to come and pick up the car?
Once we receive your request, we will send our people to pick your car. This may take 2 – 5 days; however, the towing service will contact you in advance to make the necessary arrangements.

9) Is it necessary for me to be present when the car I donate is to be picked up?
In case the car you donate is on the street, it will be better to have someone present when we come to pick the car. However, if the car is in your driveway, and can be reached by a large tow truck, then you need not be present. But you will have to inform the towing service of where the keys and title can be found.
